Dr. Felicia Otchet graduated cum laude from Smith College in 1991. She completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Cincinnati in 1996. She was employed at London Health Sciences Centre for about 25 years. Dr. Otchet also has an adjunct faculty appointment at Western University in Ontario. She has provided clinical supervision to more than 50 students. Dr. Otchet has also engaged in other teaching activities including developing and providing training sessions and workshops, and developing and teaching graduate level courses in Cross Cultural Psychology at the University of Western Ontario. Dr. Otchet has a strong interest in serving clients from a variety of ethnic and religious backgrounds and sexual orientations/inclinations. Dr. Otchet has also acted as a consultant psychologist for community agencies in the London area (e.g., SEARCH in Strathroy, Wellspring London, WOTCH, CMHA Middlesex), where she provides psychological consultations for complex clients, as well as feedback and education for staff and administration. Dr. Otchet also has extensive experience in working with first responders, health care providers, and the adult members of their families.
Dr. Otchet maintains a private practice in which she sees adults presenting with a range of health and/or mental health concerns, including medical and/or psychological disability, acute and/or chronic pain, depression, anxiety, posttraumatic (and other) stress, and gender dysphoria. She has particular interests in adjustment to illness and injury, in trauma and resilience, and in coping with life transitions.
